It is a tricky question to answer since it depends on each person’s preferences. Based on this, indoor or outdoor will both have pros and cons. Indoor Exercise:

Advantages:

    Working out indoors gives the possibility to control the environment to a certain extent. This control includes regulating the temperature to a comfortable one, no more fear of being rained on or too much heat.

    Going to a gym, you can use multiple refreshing and relaxing facilities after working out like a shower, and directly go to other activities.
  • Group workouts:
    Research has shown that people tend to be more accountable when in group classes, which boosts people’s motivation not to give up and continue with the workout.

Disadvantage:

  • Cost:
    Joining a gym would cost $40 to $50 depending on the location; otherwise, a person interested in exercising at home can purchase the related equipment. Either option is costly.

    A study has shown that outdoor runners put in more effort, run 30 minutes more, and use more energy than their counterparts.
  • Benefits our mental wellbeing:
    A study showed that people doing outdoor exercise are happier, more relaxed, and feel revitalized, and another found that it reduces stress.

Disadvantage:

  • Unpredictable elements:
    Outside the weather is unpredictable so you might be exposed to rain, extreme winds, snow.
